This short evening dress, of silk, sequins, rhinestones, silver metal thread, and beads, is representative of the 1920s. Made about 1926, the dress is plain weave chiffon, embroidered with light and dark pink, silver, and red sequins and beads in an arabesque "art deco" pattern. Its hemline has alternate scallops and points. A silver lamé bias pleat is inserted at the left side of the skirt. Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, 1990.129.6.
