And pizza strips! 1342 Douglas Avenue, North Providence ![]() Crugnale's pizza strips are a tad greasier than most we've tried, but they're quite good, and the skin of your hands will be soft and supple afterward. Day-old strips are cheaper (three for $1 as of May 2002), and we were once told by one of the counter ladies that, "They're better the next day!" Whether or not this is true we'll leave for others to decide. Cassie B, from North Providence, declared her love of Crugnale's spinach pies on Yelp in 2011:
I once decided to find the best spinach pie within a two mile radius of my house. After driving to roughly a bajillion bakeries, and purchasing their contenders, I went home and had a taste test with my boy, and family members. Sadly, I only confirmed my knowledge that Crugnale's has the best spinach pies ever. Totally could have saved countless hours of driving, map-reading (this was before the advent of GPS!), and sh*tty spinach pie sampling. This Crugnale location is open Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm; Saturday, 7:30am-5pm; and Sunday 7:30am-1pm. THEIR BREAD IS DENSE AND MAKES A HEALTHY FULLING SANGWHICH ( SANDWHICH ). IT HOLDS UP TO WET SANDWICHES AS WELL AS A GOOD ITALIAN GRINDER.
THEIR PIZZA IS GOOD TOO. LOTS OF TOMATOES AND A NICE HEAVY DOUGH TO HOLD IT ALL TOGETHER.
