Located in the South Portico, the Peter Diepenbrock-designed memorial consists of nine layers of glass gilded with gold leaf so as to suggest a 3-D representation of the Twin Towers, suspended within a glass and brass case.
A GREAT PEOPLE HAS BEEN MOVED TO DEFEND A GREAT NATION.
TERRORIST ATTACKS CAN SHAKE THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR BIGGEST BUIDINGS,
